Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC17A6 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC17A6 data layer compared with 14 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine carcinosarcoma (UCS), where higher SLC17A6 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC17A6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and LUSC show a favorable association.
UCS, SCLC, and LIHC are the cancer types where SLC17A6 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
