Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLBP mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLBP data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLBP mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLBP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, PDAC, and LUAD are the cancer types where SLBP mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
