Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLAMF9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLAMF9 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLAMF9 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLAMF9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, BLCA, and SKCM are the cancer types where SLAMF9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
