Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SHQ1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SHQ1 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher SHQ1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SHQ1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and READ show a favorable association.

BRCA, LGG, and READ are the cancer types where SHQ1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
