Across TCGA cell cohorts, SHMT2 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 3,156 significant associations in total. BONE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SHMT2-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are L-amino acid biosynthetic process, L-serine biosynthetic process, and Alpha-amino acid biosynthetic process. Each is linked with SHMT2 in more than 10 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SHMT2-to-partner and partner-to-SHMT2 results are reported.
