Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SHISA5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SHISA5 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SHISA5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SHISA5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA show a favorable association.
HNSC, STAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where SHISA5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
