Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SH3TC2-DT RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SH3TC2-DT’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where SH3TC2-DT RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SH3TC2-DT is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as UCEC and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where SH3TC2-DT tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
