Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SH2D3C RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SH2D3C’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where SH2D3C RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SH2D3C is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, KICH, and KIRC are the cancer types where SH2D3C tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
