Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SH2B1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SH2B1 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SH2B1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SH2B1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, STAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where SH2B1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
