Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SGK1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SGK1 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 11 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher SGK1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SGK1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and HNSC show a favorable association.

GBM, LSCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where SGK1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
