Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SGCB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SGCB data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in thymoma (THYM), where higher SGCB Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SGCB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
THYM, READ, and UCEC are the cancer types where SGCB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
