Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SFTPA1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SFTPA1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher SFTPA1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SFTPA1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
ESCA, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where SFTPA1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
