Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SETBP1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SETBP1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher SETBP1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SETBP1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
ESCA, SKCM, and PCPG are the cancer types where SETBP1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
