Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SERPINE1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SERPINE1 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SERPINE1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SERPINE1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and DLBC show a favorable association.
HNSC, STAD, and KIRP are the cancer types where SERPINE1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
