Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SERF1A RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SERF1A data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher SERF1A RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SERF1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC and DLBC show a favorable association.

LUSC, KICH, and LIHC are the cancer types where SERF1A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
