Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEPTIN8 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SEPTIN8 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher SEPTIN8 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SEPTIN8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and PDAC show a favorable association.

LSCC, GBM, and CCRCC are the cancer types where SEPTIN8 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
