Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEMA6D mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SEMA6D data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher SEMA6D mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SEMA6D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.
GBM, LSCC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where SEMA6D mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
