Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEMA6B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SEMA6B data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SEMA6B mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SEMA6B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and GBM show a favorable association.
HNSC, GBM, and LUAD are the cancer types where SEMA6B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
