Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEMA3D mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SEMA3D data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SEMA3D mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SEMA3D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC are the cancer types where SEMA3D mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
