Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEMA3C RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SEMA3C data layer compared with 10 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher SEMA3C RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SEMA3C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and DLBC show a favorable association.
CESC, HNSC, and KIRP are the cancer types where SEMA3C RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
