Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEC31A RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SEC31A data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher SEC31A RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SEC31A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and HNSC show a favorable association.
BLCA, KIRC, and CESC are the cancer types where SEC31A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
