Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEC24B-AS1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SEC24B-AS1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where SEC24B-AS1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SEC24B-AS1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LIHC, THCA, and BRCA are the cancer types where SEC24B-AS1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
