Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEC22B3P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SEC22B3P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where SEC22B3P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SEC22B3P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KICH and THCA are the cancer types where SEC22B3P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
