Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SCN7A RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SCN7A data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher SCN7A RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SCN7A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and BRCA show a favorable association.
LUAD, OV, and BLCA are the cancer types where SCN7A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
