Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SCN4A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SCN4A data layer compared with 31 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SCN4A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SCN4A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

SKCM, ESCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where SCN4A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
