Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SCIN RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SCIN data layer compared with 8 for mutation status and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher SCIN RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SCIN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and KIRC show a favorable association.
MESO, KIRC, and LGG are the cancer types where SCIN RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
