Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SAMD9L Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SAMD9L data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher SAMD9L Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SAMD9L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRP, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where SAMD9L Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
