Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SAMD9L mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SAMD9L data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SAMD9L mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SAMD9L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD show a favorable association.
UCEC, LUAD, and GBM are the cancer types where SAMD9L mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
