Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SAMD4B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SAMD4B data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher SAMD4B mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SAMD4B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
GBM, LSCC, and UCEC are the cancer types where SAMD4B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
