Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SAA1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SAA1 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher SAA1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SAA1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

CCRCC, LUAD, and GBM are the cancer types where SAA1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
