Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, S100Z RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated S100Z data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher S100Z RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated S100Z expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.

STAD, HNSC, and LGG are the cancer types where S100Z RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
