Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, S100P mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated S100P data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher S100P mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated S100P expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and LSCC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, LUAD, and LSCC are the cancer types where S100P mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
