Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, S100B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated S100B data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher S100B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated S100B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD and UCEC are the cancer types where S100B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
