Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, S100A7A RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated S100A7A data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher S100A7A RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated S100A7A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and SARC show a favorable association.

BRCA, UCS, and TGCT are the cancer types where S100A7A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
