Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, S100A7 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated S100A7 data layer compared with 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher S100A7 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated S100A7 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and HNSC show a favorable association.

KIRC, COAD, and KIRP are the cancer types where S100A7 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
