Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RUNX2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 32 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RUNX2 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher RUNX2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RUNX2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and LUAD show a favorable association.
KICH, UVM, and BLCA are the cancer types where RUNX2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
