Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS6 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RPS6 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher RPS6 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RPS6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, PAAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where RPS6 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
