Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS5 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RPS5 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher RPS5 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RPS5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and HNSC show a favorable association.
UCEC, HNSC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where RPS5 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
