Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS26P41 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS26P41’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RPS26P41 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS26P41 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRC, and READ are the cancer types where RPS26P41 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
