Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS15AP29 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS15AP29’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RPS15AP29 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS15AP29 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, COAD, and KIRP are the cancer types where RPS15AP29 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
