Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL8P2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL8P2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where RPL8P2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL8P2 is over-expressed in tumor.
COAD, LIHC, and KIRC are the cancer types where RPL8P2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
