Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL37A-DT RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL37A-DT’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where RPL37A-DT RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL37A-DT is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KICH, THCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where RPL37A-DT tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
