Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL32P4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL32P4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where RPL32P4 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL32P4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and BLCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, BLCA, and KIRP are the cancer types where RPL32P4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
