Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL31P59 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL31P59’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where RPL31P59 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL31P59 is over-expressed in tumor.
STAD are the cancer types where RPL31P59 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
