Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL23AP30 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL23AP30’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where RPL23AP30 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL23AP30 is over-expressed in tumor.
KIRC, STAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where RPL23AP30 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
