Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL22P11 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL22P11’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where RPL22P11 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL22P11 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, THCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where RPL22P11 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
