Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL13AP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL13AP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RPL13AP RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL13AP is over-expressed in tumor.

THCA are the cancer types where RPL13AP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
