Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPGRIP1L RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RPGRIP1L data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher RPGRIP1L RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RPGRIP1L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and READ show a favorable association.
BLCA, STAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where RPGRIP1L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
