Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNVU1-2A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNVU1-2A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RNVU1-2A RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNVU1-2A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, HNSC, and LUAD are the cancer types where RNVU1-2A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
