Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU7-154P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU7-154P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where RNU7-154P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU7-154P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and CHOL show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, LUSC, and CHOL are the cancer types where RNU7-154P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
